Release Manager

Release ManagerCVS Health is looking for an accomplished Release Manager with a broad working knowledge of IT technology, software development lifecycle methodology and extensive experience with release and change processes. The team is looking for a self-driven individual with solid communication and management skills. As an AEI Release Manager, you will be protecting and managing the movement of releases to the production environment. The selected candidate must have the ability to lead meetings and discussions related to release and change management and employ advanced knowledge as a Release Manager. The successful candidate must have the confidence to manage up and provide reporting as well as updates to senior IT management and line of business.The Release Manager is also expected to:Gain an understanding of the technical domains they work in to assess risk and impact of submitted changes.Must develop a good working relationship with both technical and business colleagues.Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviewsDay-to-day activities:· The individual will manage software releases, not people. This is an individual contributor role.· Manage multiple release requests through the Organization’s internal process using both QuickBase and ServiceNow applications.· Work with the development teams submitting the release requests to provide complete and accurate information, enforce policies around lead times, install windows, and other requirements.· Work with Development teams to assess risk and impact of the release.· Report on status of management.Required Qualifications5+ years of IT experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in Release Management, SDLC, or IT Change Management. Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or closely related technical field preferredAdvanced Skills in all the MS Office products including Excel, PPT, SharePoint, MS Project and Visio.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsExposure to ServiceNow (SNow)Experience composing implementation plans and leading the successful execution of the planEducationBachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
