Sr. Accountant with Fixed Assets

Duration of the Project: 6 Months Hybrid: 3 Days in Office, 2 days remote Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands‑on Senior Accountant with strong fixed asset accounting experience to support a growing finance team. This role will be heavily focused on full-cycle fixed asset accounting and process improvement, while also assisting with reconciliations, reporting, and documentation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including additions, retirements, transfers, depreciation, impairments, and asset tagging Perform fixed asset reconciliations to ensure the fixed asset subledger and General Ledger accurately align with onsite physical assets Conduct periodic reviews and audits of fixed assets to maintain accuracy and compliance Support month‑end close activities related to fixed assets and related balance sheet accounts Document accounting processes and create desktop procedures to improve consistency, controls, and operational efficiency Assist with implementing and enhancing accounting procedures and workflows Prepare and support sales tax reconciliations to the General Ledger Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, including significant fixed asset accounting experience Strong understanding of full-cycle fixed asset accounting and reconciliation processes Experience with NetSuite is required Proven experience creating process documentation and implementing accounting procedures Experience with sales tax reconciliations is a plus DeWinter Group and Maris Consulting is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
