Introduction

The doctoral programs in clinical psychology are dedicated to preparing clinical psychologists for engagement in all applications of the degrees (PhD and PsyD) with excellence and with an emphasis on training clinical psychologists for preferential engagement with traditionally under-engaged populations or populations traditionally marginalized in society. These positions provide the opportunity to partner with our core faculty in support of the program's mission to further personal and student research and nurture the next generation of faith-integrated clinical psychologists.

• These tenure-track, assistant professor positions in the doctoral programs (PhD & PsyD) at Wheaton College afford the opportunity to provide instruction, engage in personal research, and support student research and clinical development.
• Teaching responsibilities for these positions will include:
  • Practicum seminar supporting clinical engagement (6 semester hours)
  • Research and advising (6 semester hours)
  • Three academic courses, such as clinical interviewing, psychopathology, personality assessment (3 semester hours each)
  • Research lab (3 semester hours)
• Intramural research support/funding/collaboration opportunities
• Strong community engagement
• On-campus clinics (internal and community-facing)
• Opportunities for support of clinical engagement and supervision for licensure can be coordinated

Support for membership costs to external organizations and membership organizations

A license-eligible doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology is required.

Salary range for an Assistant Professor: $65K - $69K
