Temporary Accounting Specialist

Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day financial operations. This role partners closely with the Accounting Manager and plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close processes, and ensuring compliance with IFRS and internal policies. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting principles, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies. Key Responsibilities Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Assist with revenue-related activities, including invoicing, sales support, and related inquiries Prepare and post journal entries; maintain organized and accurate financial documentation Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including cash applications and payment processing Perform account reconciliations and analyses (bank statements, fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, and benefits-related costs) Process expense allocations, accruals, and fixed asset depreciation; complete adjusting and reclassification entries as needed Monitor and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with IFRS and internal controls Prepare audit and tax documentation; support internal and external audit processes Investigate and resolve financial variances, identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency Conduct costing and inventory analyses, including manufacturing cost and gross margin impact Support additional accounting and finance-related tasks as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including cost analysis capabilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
