Collections Specialist

Careerscape is hiring a fully remote Collections Specialist to help manage and recover outstanding account balances for our clients. This is a great entry point into finance and accounts receivable, with paid training and a clear path to grow.

You'll spend your day reaching out to customers, negotiating fair payment arrangements, and keeping accurate records — all from home. If you're a confident communicator who stays organized and calm under pressure, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone and email to resolve past-due account balances
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements within company guidelines
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activity in the system
• Monitor assigned accounts and prioritize outreach based on aging
• Reconcile account discrepancies and process payments
• Collaborate with billing and customer service teams to resolve disputes
• Meet monthly collection targets and productivity goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable handling high call volumes in a remote setting
• Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and CRM or billing software
• Professional, empathetic, and persistent phone manner
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet home workspace
• Ability to work independently and stay organized
