Pipefitter HA (2nd and 3rd Class)

Genesis Industrial Staffing has a client in the Pascagoula, MS area looking for 2nd and 3rd Class Pipefitters!! 

**Offering a sign on bonus and PTO**

-Must pass hair follicle drug screen and 7 year background check
-Pay for 2nd Class is $42.24 (determined by skills assessment)
-Pay for 3rd Class is $40.32 (determined by skills assessment)
-Per Diem of $180 for days worked is offered if you are 75 miles away and have the acceptable documents

Must have:

• 2-3 years of marine, industrial, or petro-chemical pipefitting experience
• completed high school or equivalent pipefitting technical program with NCCER certification

Job Description:

A Pipefitter, also referred to as a Journeyman Pipefitter, is responsible for fitting pipe consisting of various materials such as steel, galvanized, copper, copper-nickel and stainless along with the appropriate valves and fittings, utilizing various tools and equipment in accordance with drawing, arrangements and blue prints. Production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Pipefitter may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time.
