Founded in 2007, DTI (Diversified Technology, Inc.) is a successful African American owned IT Consulting/Staffing firm based in Chicago's Loop. We focus on providing delivery, staffing, and supported services such as enterprise integration/implementations including, but not limited to, CRM, EAM, ERP, PMO, and QA. We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Technician Level 3 to take ownership of complex networking and infrastructure tasks in the field. This role builds on Level 1 and Level 2 responsibilities and requires expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining high-complexity equipment. The ideal candidate will have more than 9 years of experience, a technical degree or equivalent certifications, and the ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and confidently interface with executive-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all Level 1 and Level 2 responsibilities, including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training.
• Lead teams of technicians on-site, assigning tasks and ensuring service excellence.
• Handle high-complexity network equipment, including advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
• Provide mentoring and training for Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
• Take ownership of complex tasks such as large-scale rack/stack, advanced configuration, and multi-site coordination.
• Confidently interface with C-level executives and senior client stakeholders, providing technical expertise in a professional and consultative manner.
• Perform high-level break-fix services and resolve the majority of field issues without escalation.
• Ensure documentation of technical resolutions, best practices, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Partner with clients to anticipate technical needs, provide solutions, and build strong customer relationships.

Qualifications:

• More than 9 years of experience in network infrastructure, field services, or IT operations.
• Technical degree or industry certifications required (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Advanced, vendor-specific certifications).
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams in the field.
• Expertise in handling complex networking equipment and advanced troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills with proven ability to interact with executive-level leadership.
• Capable of resolving most field issues independently.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with experience managing projects or large-scale technical efforts.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment over 45 lbs.
• Must work on our W2 (no C2C or 1099).

Work Environment:

• Onsite support required in either Chicago, IL or the New York/New Jersey area.
• Direct client interaction, including executive-level communication.

Pay rate: $80hr
