Registered Nurse PICU

Pediatric Icu NurseRequired experience: 2 years of strong high acuity pediatric ICU experience – must be comfortable in a high acuity, fast paced environmentWill you accept a first-time traveler? YesUnit culture: teamwork, trust, accountability, respect, compassionately hard workingPatient types/common diagnoses: respiratory, trauma (which includes penetrating and non-accidental trauma, NAT), DKA, seizures, neurosurgical, acute/chronic renal failure, orthopedic, surgical, transplants (kidney and whole/partial liver), complex medical, blood disordersPatient ratios: weekend rotation will be required to work 2 Fridays, 2 Saturdays, 2 Sundays, and 2 Mondays every 6-week schedule. The combination of the 2 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays can be grouped together or worked separately as long as those eight (8) shifts occur within the 6-week periodHoliday requirements: travelers will work 75% of holidays, unit requirement is the eve and day of every other holidayFloating requirements: pediatric CVICU, NICU, neonatal PCU, gen peds – will float as needed
