Fraud Operations Specialist

Our client, is looking to hire a Fraud Operations Specialist to join their Operations Team! the Fraud Operations Specialist resolves order-related issues, supports fraud prevention efforts, and delivers an exceptional customer experience. This role investigates complex customer cases, reviews transaction activity for risk, and ensures company policies are applied consistently while maintaining a customer-first approach.

Location: MUST be local to Southern California (Equipment is provided so need to be local)


Pay rate: $23/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate suspicious orders, refunds, gift card requests, and returns using fraud prevention tools.
• Analyze transaction data to identify fraud trends, policy abuse, and risk.
• Review orders for policy compliance and approval requirements.
• Monitor recurring issues and provide recommendations to reduce loss.
• Process refunds, replacements, and price adjustments as applicable.
• Investigate problematic returns and lost parcel claims with carriers.
• Maintain accurate records and document investigations clearly.
• Balance fraud prevention with a positive, frictionless customer experience.
• Deliver exceptional service while resolving complex order issues.
• Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, chat, and social media as needed.


Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience investigating fraud, policy abuse, and high-risk transactions.
• Familiarity with fraud detection tools and transaction analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to balance risk mitigation with a customer-first mindset.
• Experience handling refunds, returns, claims, and order exceptions.
