Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a night shift position requiring NH licensure and 1+ years of varied ultrasound experience.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Ultrasound department with 4 ultrasound rooms,
• Unit staffed with 14 sonographers across day, evening, and night shifts,
• Patient ratio of 8-10 patients per 8-hour shift,
• Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric,
• Equipment includes Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10,
• EMR is Allscripts and PACS system is InteleRad,
• Monday to Thursday schedule, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM shift,
• 8-week assignment length,
• Opportunities for extra shifts within the department, including Breast ultrasound at BCC,
• Weekends covered by dedicated weekend staff with no on-call requirement for travelers,

Job Requirements

• Current BLS and RDMS certification required,
• NH MIRT licensure required, certification must be in hand prior to consideration,
• License required if applicable,
• Minimum of 1 year of experience across a wide array of ultrasound types,
• Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting required,
• Exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography required,
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and pathology with ability to distinguish normal from abnormal findings,
• Basic scanning skills with solid understanding of sonographic physics and techniques,
• RVT, OB-GYN, or AB certifications preferred,
• OR experience and familiarity with ultrasound-guided procedures preferred,
• 1 year of experience beyond education preferred,

Additional Information

• Perform procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, FNAs of thyroids/parotids/lymph nodes, soft tissue and lymph node biopsies, liver and renal biopsies, drainages of abscesses/cysts/hematomas/gallbladders, and thrombin injections,
• May assist with OR-based procedures such as breast needle placements, carotid studies, D&Cs, and prostate biopsies,
• Ideal candidates are hardworking, self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team,
• Must be willing to teach, follow department policies, and communicate professionally with management,
• Scrubs of any professional, clean-appearing color or radiology-themed t-shirts are acceptable,
• Attendance and PTO policies must be followed, and all exam protocols must be adhered to,
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
