Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health RN with 2+ years of experience and a NH or compact license for a 13-week assignment requiring Oasis assessment competency.

Job Details

• Home health setting providing care to adult patients,
• Caseload of approximately 6 visits per day,
• Shift options include 5x8 Days (8a-4:30p) Thursday-Monday, or 4x10 Thursday-Sunday or Friday-Monday,
• Weekend work required,
• No call or floating requirements,
• 8-hour unit orientation provided,

Job Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required,
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross only accepted),
• Minimum 2 years of home health nursing experience required,
• Must be able to perform admissions and complete Oasis assessments,
• Experience with blood glucose/glucometer management and phlebotomy,
• Skilled in care and management of peripheral IVs, central lines, and ports,
• Experience with wound care, pressure ulcer prevention/management, and drain management,
• Experience with G-tube site care and nutritional assessment,
• Experience with medication administration and management,
• Experience with oxygen safety and administration,
• Experience with suprapubic and urinary catheter management,
• Clinical assessment documentation and infection control precaution skills required,
• Professional references required, with at least one pending reference accepted to begin the process,

Additional Information

• Conduct home visits including routine assessments and documentation of significant changes in condition,
• Scrub attire is flexible,
• Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and accepted at the local rate,
• First-time travelers are not considered for this position,
• Former employees of any facility associated with the health system are not eligible, regardless of separation length,
• Drug screening must be completed within 14 days of the start date
