Direct Support Professional Part-Time (16HRS) Multiple Shifts & Locations

Job Title

The role involves providing services related to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on a temporary basis when the DSP is not present. This includes maintaining and submitting timely and accurate nutritional records and reports, assisting residents in skill development in areas such as domestic living and medical appointments, and ensuring a safe, clean, and normalized home-like environment at all times.

The individual is responsible for maintaining a clean environment internally and around the exterior of the facility, including cleaning rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas. They must also ensure the nutritional needs of assigned clients are met, prepare and store food items safely, and manage garbage removal and recycling. Additionally, they are responsible for planning and preparing meals according to individual diet orders and menus, and must adhere to all funding source standards and Agency policies.

The role requires effective communication with staff and supervisors, attendance standards, and sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the persons served.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Food Handlers Certificate preferred.
• Two years of experience in food preparation preferred.
• Basic Computer skills for menu planning and food ordering, ability to read and write, and use a Telephone, Fax machine, and Copier.
• AMAP Certification, SCIP R and CPR & First Aide preferred.
• A Valid Driver's License is required (Must be able to drive large vehicle which consisted of wheel chair or 15 seated van).
• Has respect and consideration for the resident being served.
