The analysis, both routine and ad hoc, involves interaction with employees at all organizational levels and across multiple disciplines. Routine responsibilities include assisting with month-end and year-end closing, preparing monthly balance and income statement analyses and journal entries, assisting with monthly consolidation and general ledger reconciliations, billing and reconciling miscellaneous accounts receivable, and other duties as assigned.Core Responsibilities and Essential FunctionsGeneral Accounting Responsibilities Prepare month-end reconciliations and journal entriesAssist with the preparation of month-end and year-end reportsAssist with the preparation of variance analysesBalance Sheet Reconciliation Assist with the reconciliation of assigned Balance Sheet accounts (including bank reconciliations)Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliation journal entriesAssist with Balance Sheet discrepancy resolutionOther Duties as Assigned Prepare interim and year-end audit schedules.Bill and reconcile miscellaneous accounts receivable.Code, review, and approve non-purchase order invoices for payment.Perform other cash reconciliation responsibilities, as needed.Establish and terminate utility accounts.Serve as POC for all utility issues.Required for All JobsPerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.Qualifications Required Minimum EducationBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business RequiredRequired Minimum ExperienceLess than 1 year of Job-Related Experience PreferredRequired Minimum SkillsAbove average technical and computer software skillsAbility to communicate well in the English language with employees at all levels and across disciplinesMust display a positive attitudeMust be able to manage time to accomplish multiple tasks.Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s) Additional Licenses and CertificationsJoin us and discover the support to do more meaningful work—and enjoy a more rewarding life.
