Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a School Nurse supporting students in a school-based health room in Aurora, CO. In this role, you’ll provide student health services, manage day-to-day care, and support students with a variety of medical and health needs. This is a great opportunity for nurses interested in pediatrics, public health, or transitioning into a school-based role while enjoying a consistent school-year schedule. What You’ll Do Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and care plans Maintain accurate student health records and ensure compliance with applicable requirements Communicate with families regarding student health needs and updates Collaborate with school staff, administrators, and special education teams Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate Respond to medical emergencies and follow school safety protocols Monitor immunization compliance and support student health screenings Promote health education and wellness initiatives Why Join Us Competitive pay up to $55/hour + consistent school-year schedule Meaningful, student-centered work with strong district support W-2 employment with liability insurance included Healthcare benefits* + 401(k) with company match Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and professional expenses Mileage reimbursement between sites + referral bonuses What We’re Looking For Active Colorado RN license Colorado CDE School Nurse authorization or ability to obtain Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health preferred Strong clinical judgment, organization, and communication skills Passion for supporting students and working in a school-based environment About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a therapist-owned and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
