Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will manage and coordinate patient care related to wound management and provide expertise in various wound types and treatments.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate patient care and wound management for consults and treatment recommendations.Conduct thorough assessments and provide appropriate interventions in accordance with established standards and timelines.Document patient care, billing, and discharge supplies accurately.Identify, assess, and prevent complications related to wounds and skin integrity.Provide continuing education to patients and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.Utilize phone documentation for wound photo documentation as needed.QualificationsRequired: BLS Certification, WOCN Certification, and Wound Care Certified (WCC) via NAWCO.Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in wound care.No prior travel experience required.Patient Care DetailsIn this role, you will treat a minimum of 5 to 15 patients per day, depending on the workload, including new consults. The common diagnoses and types of wounds include:Ostomies and draining wounds or fistulas (approximately 25%)Pressure ulcersVascular, arterial, and diabetic ulcerationsSkin conditions resulting from incontinence and surgical proceduresComplications from traumaShift RequirementsThis position includes 4 on-duty days per week, floating to multiple locations within the region as necessary. There are no weekend or holiday requirements.Additional InformationOrientation provided across all facilities with a preceptor and documentation education.No specific dress code; scrub color preference is not required.Utilization of Smith and Nephew wound vacs in patient care.We are committed to providing a supportive and dynamic work environment for our team.
