We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local hospital in Albany, NY where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. You will work with cardiopulmonary equipment to assist or monitor patients across age groups. Duties include diagnostic testing, airway management, medication administration, patient education, and emergency life support procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care, or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Active NBRC credential.
• Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
• Three or more years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital setting, including emergency department and adult critical care.
• Experience with airway management including endotracheal intubation, extubation, pulmonary hygiene, and tracheostomy care.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to perform diagnostic respiratory testing and operate cardiopulmonary equipment.
• 100% billable orientation job requirement.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year experience working in a Level 3 NICU preferred.

Assignment Details

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week. (1900-0730).
• Holiday requirement: three 12-hour holiday shifts per season (the night before and night of the holiday count as holiday shifts).
• Every other weekend required.
