Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) located in Albany, New York. This position involves assessing, treating, and caring for patients of all ages with pulmonary (breathing) disorders in an acute care hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role offers a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week, with additional holiday and weekend commitments.

Job Details:

• Location: Albany, NY
• Certifications and Qualifications: Associates Degree (or higher) in Respiratory Therapy or Respiratory Care; Active NYS Respiratory Therapist license; Active NBRC credential; 3+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care hospital including Emergency Department and adult critical care; 1+ year experience working in a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit preferred.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7:30am) per week.
• Holiday/Weekend Requirement: Three 12-hour holiday shifts per season (the night before and night of the holiday count as holiday shifts); every other weekend.
• Additional Information: The position involves gathering patient data, assessing health status, administering treatments, performing airway management procedures including endotracheal intubations and extubations, and providing health education.
