As a key member of the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Digital Transformation organization, the Solution Train Engineer will be a Servant Leader and Coach for the StarDrive Solution Train, facilitating and guiding the work of all ARTs and Suppliers in the 3DX digital thread ecosystem. This highly visible role will coordinate, facilitate, and help to guide the constituent Agile Release Trains (ARTs), IT Systems, and organizations toward productive outcomes. The Solution Train Engineer (STE) possesses a systems view of the entire development and delivery process. Working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment, the Solution Train Engineer will have the following responsibilities: Facilitates and guides the work of all ARTs and Suppliers in the Value Stream Lead and coordinate the large solution delivery PI cadence Act as a Lean-Agile Leader to the train and often as a Coach to others within the Solution Train and ARTs regarding Lean and Agile practices. Be a relationship builder, establishing vital connections within and outside the Solution Train to help the portfolio operate as a collaborative, adaptive network Facilitate synchronization across the Solution Train coordinating or hosting regular syncs to keep the Solution Train on track. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems, and information technology related responsibilities including design, development, and analysis of computer systems or programs based on and related to user or system design specifications; applying systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine hardware, software, or system functional specifications. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that do not perform IT responsibilities, use E146, Systems Engineer. Basic Qualifications Experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment Proven experience working across functions and Programs to deliver results Desired Skills Certified in SAFe a plus Experience as a Solution Train Engineer, Release Train Engineer, Solution Train Manager, or Product Owner/Product Manager desired Experience leading complex IT Systems Integration efforts Business Process Reengineering experience desired Experience managing across organizational boundaries Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems, Manufacturing Engineering Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems Experience working with Dassault 3DExperience Platform a plus Experience working with Dassault Apriso, Quintiq, or other Dassault Manufacturing systems a plus Strong Program Management Skills Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively to executives as well as to teams and individual contributors Pay Information GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
