Lactation Consultant
The Lactation Consultant will provide essential support and education to postpartum mothers regarding breastfeeding. The role involves assisting with breast engorgement, breastfeeding instructions, and breast milk collection and storage. Candidates should possess experience in patient ratio management and have knowledge of community hospital charting systems. Interdisciplinary support will be available. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and fluency in Spanish. Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate locations based on patient census and unit requirements. This position requires adherence to background policy and qualifications regarding past traveling staff. Candidates may encounter high-risk patients and provide couplet care as needed. Weekend coverage may be required as per unit needs.
