Quality Technician 2 days ago Requisition ID: 1048 Salary Range: $27.00 To $32.00 Hourly Position Summary: The Quality Technician is responsible for performing quality inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure that products meet established standards and specifications. This role supports the Quality Department by monitoring and improving quality processes, identifying issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Technician works closely with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities: Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods in accordance with established quality standards and procedures. Conduct tests and measurements using various tools and equipment to verify product conformance to specifications. Document inspection results, test data, and non-conformances accurately and in a timely manner. Identify and report quality issues, non-conformities, and discrepancies to the Quality Supervisor or appropriate team members. Assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of quality issues and collaborate on corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Support the calibration and maintenance of quality measurement instruments and equipment. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma projects. Assist in training production personnel on quality standards and inspection procedures. Help maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection records and test reports. Work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and enhance product quality and efficiency. Lead or participate in internal audits as required. Create FAI Calibration Skills and Qualifications: 1–3 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with quality inspection tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Knowledge of quality control procedures, including inspection, testing, and documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with quality software and production tracking tools. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Other Details: Work Environment: Manufacturing floor with exposure to industrial equipment, noise, and varying temperatures. Physical Demands: Active role requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of materials or equipment (up to 50 pounds). Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for extended hours or weekends as needed to support production demands. Travel: Minimal travel may be required, primarily for training or inter-facility coordination.
