Project Engineer (Onsite)

Job Summary Position Role Type: Onsite. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Responsibilities Collaborate with a cross‑functional team of experts, including Project, Design, Structures, Aero, Systems, Manufacturing, Quality, and Industrial Engineering. Partner closely with the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organization to ensure seamless integration between engineering and manufacturing, driving efficiency and innovation in production processes. Resolve manufacturing challenges and address producibility issues with part producers and suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery of spare parts and hardware that support fleet sustainment and schedule requirements. Plan, acquire, and manage budgets for Integrated Product Team (IPT) tasks, applying core Project Engineering skills such as task planning, tracking, and earned value management (EVMS). Communicate with internal and external customers, providing clear, timely updates on task status and technical content to the IPT and Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT). Interface directly with engineering management, program management, suppliers, and customers to drive execution and achieve program objectives. Gain exposure to project management frameworks, including Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall. Travel up to 10% to supplier locations supporting F119 spares production. This position requires regular walking and standing while working on the manufacturing floor, with the ability to move through production areas safely. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. 2+ years of relevant engineering experience. U.S. citizenship required. Preferred Qualifications Strong communication and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage and execute multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in AGILE, Confluence, Jira, and SAP. Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM). Benefits Salary range: $68,900 - $131,100.
