Regional Sales Director

Position: Regional Sales Director - AI, ML & Cloud Solutions

Location: Bay Area, California

Employment Type: Full-Time


We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Director to lead enterprise sales initiatives across the West Coast, focusing on cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Cloud Transformation, and Analytics . This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in tech solution sales who excels in building strategic customer relationships, driving growth, and leading high-impact sales engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and implement a region-specific go-to-market plan aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Identify high-value prospects, expand into key accounts, and execute winning sales strategies.
Client Engagement:
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships with enterprise customers.
  • Ensure high satisfaction and retention by understanding client challenges and positioning tailored solutions.
Industry Insight:
  • Stay ahead of market developments, emerging AI/ML technologies, and competitive movements.
  • Translate these insights into actionable sales strategies and client discussions.
Technical Confidence:
  • Possess a solid understanding of AI, ML, cloud platforms, and data solutions to engage in high-level conversations with technical stakeholders.
  • Present complex solution concepts through demos, POCs, and executive briefings.
Cross-Team Collaboration:
  • Partner closely with product, delivery, marketing, and engineering teams to align on opportunities and client needs.
Pipeline Management & Forecasting:
  • Maintain a robust sales funnel with accurate forecasting and timely reporting.
  • Use CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) for tracking progress and driving conversion.
Market Outreach:
  • Actively participate in networking events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Willingness to travel as needed within the region to support business development efforts.
Lead Generation & Deal Closure:
  • Drive new business by targeting large enterprises and managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
Required Experience & Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, and client engagement.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new logos and expanding enterprise accounts.
  • Strong background in AI, ML, Cloud , and data-related software services .
  • Experience with service-based solution sales and understanding of software delivery models.
  • Effective communicator with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics , or a related technical field.
Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior experience in digital transformation consulting or advisory roles.
  • Start-up mindset: agile, proactive, and resilient.
  • Exposure to digital marketing and demand generation strategies.
  • Ability to conceptualize and sell innovative, outcome-based solutions .
Mandatory Requirements:

  • No career or education gaps.
  • Minimum 3+ years tenure in each past organization to ensure stability.
  • Based in the Bay Area, CA or open to relocation.
