Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg | Tele, Burlington, VT. Travel assignment begins 07/09/2026 for 4 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,007 to $2,135 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts. Setting: hospital-based unit with neurosurgical and surgical focus. This is a travel - temporary assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside nursing care for adult patients on a neurosurgical/medical -surgical telemetry unit, following individualized care plans and evidence-based practices.
- Monitor vital signs, neurologic status, neurovascular checks, and administer medications and IV therapies according to orders; manage lines and devices per policy.
- Perform NIH Stroke Scale assessments as indicated, recognize neurologic changes, and escalate concerns promptly to the multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborate with physicians, residents, and allied health staff; participate in rounds; document clearly and accurately in the Epic EMR within the last 2 years.
- Support discharge planning, patient education, and coordination with families; ensure safety protocols, pressure injury prevention, fall risk mitigation, and care transitions are executed.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license on file at time of submission
- Minimum of 2 years of unit-based RN experience (Med Surg/Tele or similar) prior to start
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS; NIHSS must be documented prior to start
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Large teaching facility experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity unit and to maintain reliable transportation as required by travel assignments
