Medical Surgical RN - Neurosurgical & Surgical Unit

Job Description

The Medical Surgical RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care in the neurosurgical and surgical unit. This role requires a skilled nurse with experience in a large teaching facility and a commitment to meet the needs of patients and the unit through flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatment as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Schedule

This position requires 12-hour day shifts with a minimum of every other weekend availability. The schedule may be adjusted according to the needs of the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of unit experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• NIHSS certification is required prior to start.
• Epic experience within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
