This individual works closely with administration, other staff, community contacts, vendors, parents and students. Specific responsibilities include:

• Design daily bus routes, set safe bus stops, and organize transport for special education and field trips
• Act as liaison between the school and transportation vendors and Town of Franklin transportation office
• Coordinate with transportation company re: routes, discipline, and safety training as needed
• Communicate directly with students and parents regarding questions and issues related to buses
• Maintain accurate records of student bus assignments
• Support various school events

• BA/BS preferred
• Prior experience in a school office setting or in transportation coordination preferred
• Demonstrate an understanding of and an affinity for the mission of BFCCPS
• Superb customer service, communication and organizational skills
• Must be a team player and be willing to help out as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the school
• Previous database and/or systems experience strongly preferred
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage daily activities and short/long-term projects with accuracy and responsiveness
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, parents; must be assertive yet always professional
• Ability to prioritize and be flexible as priorities may shift unexpectedly
• Demonstrates good sense of judgment; knows when to make independent decisions and when to seek help from administration
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines in a busy, open-office setting
• Ability to maintain confidential information
• Ability to take initiative and be resourceful, seeking help directly as needed
• Knowledge of G Suite and Excel preferred

At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred. Bachelor degree preferred.
