About the Position

Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: RN Telemetry I Specialty: RN Telemetry I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days/Eves/Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience; 2 years working as a Traveler License: Active RN License in Massachusetts Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float between 8 different units Description: Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and managing cardiac drips. Telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours, is required. Experience with TR Band is necessary. The position involves caring for ED border patients, serving as a medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and caring for non-vented patients who are transfer ready in the ICU. The clinician to patient ratio is up to 5:1 during Day and Evening shifts and up to 6:1 during Night shifts. Units range from 8 to 41 beds. Rotation requirements include rotating from Days and Evenings to Nights with 1 to 3 rotations per contract. The charting system used is EPIC.
