Territory Manager

Job Summary A Territory Manager (TM) is responsible for managing and growing a sales territory as a field professional representative to the medical community. The TM sells company services, including prospecting, quoting, and closing new business, and provides in-service education to clients. Existing service businesses are also managed, with regular updates and reports to align with company policies. Duties and Responsibilities Achieve revenue plans for service sales. Achieve goals and plans for all product lines. Call on physician groups and hospitals regarding service sales. Provide in-service training for new and existing accounts. Update the company daily on activities, competition, and opportunities. Submit monthly expense reports and manage expenses within the allotted plan. Work with Product Managers to generate new customers or foster existing ones. Maintain thorough knowledge of all product lines. Manage all aspects of the assigned territory, meeting or exceeding all goals. Provide daily updates and reports of activities and opportunities nationwide. Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork. Complete issue resolution paperwork per company policies. Communicate with Customer Experience Service and internal staff regarding customer requests. Report to management on territory assessment and goal attainment. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of medical sales experience and 4 years of total sales experience with documented successful results. Strong computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Marketing, or related major, or equivalent education/experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities. High-level computer literacy with spreadsheets, word processing, database software (Access, Excel), and business systems (MS Project, graphics software), with ability to use reporting/query tools and construct SQL statements. Excellent communication skills (oral, written, listening), analytical and negotiation abilities, and attention to detail. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills. Change management mindset, willingness to adapt, and ability to question the status quo. Customer focus: dedicated to meeting internal and external customer expectations, building trust. Team player qualities: fosters collaboration, shares success, encourages responsibility. Self-confidence and effective problem-solving skills. Negotiation skill to reach favorable outcomes without damaging relationships. Organizing skill to marshal resources and orchestrate multiple activities. Physical and Environmental Requirements The role may require occasional travel for business purposes and occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. Duties include standing or walking, stooping or kneeling, using hands, and working in a normal office environment with typical noise, dust, and temperature conditions.
