Production Worker I 1st shift

Production Packaging Line WorkerEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform diversified duties to ensure efficient performance of production packaging lineProvide quality assurance by maintaining a close eye on product during production runs, while working in tandem with other members of the Production and Maintenance teams to maintain efficiencyPerform housekeeping and sanitation duties while maintaining full compliance with food safety and quality standardsEnsure quality product by discarding inferior or defective product and communicating continuing issues to the appropriate staff member and in a timely mannerEnsure timely loading of fruit onto our production lines to maintain optimal machine performanceHand-pack finished goods into corrugated cases to maintain optimal machine performanceHand stack pallets per customer specification and operate stretch-wrapper or hand wrap finished palletsComplete production and quality control duties with acute attention to detailEnsures cleanliness of work area by removing recyclable materials and dumping waste in a timely mannerEffectively communicate with members of staff at all levels in a professional mannerActively participate in company safety meetings and be a proponent of employee safetyFollow all GMPs and all other company quality and food safety programs as they relate to the production departmentAll other duties as assignedCompetencies:Time ManagementCommunication skillsTeam-work orientationResults-drivenInitiativePosition Type:This is a full-time position. Must be able to understand basic instructions and communicateWork Environment and Physical Demands:Approximately 90% of work is performed in a refrigerated and humid environment with loud, vibratory, and fast-moving equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, feeling, fingering, crouching, and climbing during the entirety of shift. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 lbs.
