As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Automation & Controls, you are the force that installs, services, and restores production assets and facility systems. You’ll work across machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, electrical and control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and even fabrication/welding —backed by disciplined preventive maintenance to keep everything running safely and reliably.

What you’ll do

• Conduct visual inspections and functional tests on machines and equipment to verify condition and performance.
• Listen for abnormal sounds and collaborate with supervisors or fellow maintenance pros to diagnose and resolve faults.
• Dismantle malfunctioning equipment; install new or refurbished parts to return assets to service.
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and related moving components.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus and wiring—transformers, power distribution, and electronic components included.
• Replace light fixtures as needed to maintain safe, well-lit work areas.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain piping along with hydraulic and pneumatic systems; repair or replace gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
• Repair and uphold the facility’s physical structures.
• Install and service automated machinery, including robots and programmable controllers.
• Set up and operate machine tools—lathes, grinders, drills, and milling machines—to repair or fabricate parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues using measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
• Apply multimeters, meggers, and other diagnostic meters to pinpoint faults.
• Interpret and work from mechanical and electrical diagrams and prints.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on time.
• Complete maintenance work orders promptly and accurately.
• Practice LEAP/5S and HSE standards in daily work.

• Attribute and variable gaging.
• Plant ERP (Plex).
• Hydromat/cold header experience (plus).
• FANUC robot operation/programming (plus).
• Allen-Bradley PLCs with relay and ladder logic understanding (plus).
• Compliance vision systems (COGNEX/Keyence) (plus).
• Electrical schematic reading.

• Proficiency with 120/208/240/480-volt power systems.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting capability.
• Hands-on industrial electrical experience.
• Expertise in heavy-equipment electrical systems and diagnostics.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms.
