About Pinewood Tool
Pinewood Tool is a precision machine shop serving manufacturers that demand exceptional quality, responsive service, and tight tolerances.
We specialize in precision tooling components, wear and perishable tooling, and complex machined components. Our work includes CNC milling, CNC turning, grinding, EDM, and close collaboration with customers to solve difficult manufacturing problems.
We are looking for someone who enjoys leading from the front—someone who can mentor machinists, solve challenging machining problems, and continuously improve the performance of the shop. What you'll do
- Program at the control and perform your own setups on CNC mills and/or lathes
- Machine small-run parts and tooling from blueprints, working to GD&T
- Hold tight tolerances and perform in-process quality inspection
- Use hand grinders and supporting tooling as needed to finish parts to spec
- Take ownership of your work and stand behind the result
- 3+ years of toolroom or short-run CNC machining experience
- Comfortable programming at the control (mills and/or lathes)
- Strong blueprint reading and applied GD&T knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to hold tight tolerances in a small-batch environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
