Saw Operator

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions has partnered with a prominent manufacturing facility located in Ithaca, Michigan. Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is looking to fill openings for positions including, Saw operator. The ideal candidate will be able to work 1st shift, Sunday- Thursday 4:30pm-3:00am

Job Summary: Ideal candidates will possess a self-reliant work ethic, be able to maintain focus on required tasks, and work with other team members to meet daily production goals. Some tasks and requirements may include:
• Cutting or nailing parts to size.
• Accurately completing work orders.
• Meeting daily production goals.
• Individual quality control.
• Working with and collaborating with a team.
• Must be able to maintain production volume targets, fulfillment metrics, & quality control requirements.
• Must be able to meet schedules and production timelines.
• Must have good communications skills, be organization and self-reliant.
• Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to consistently work 50 hours per week.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate computerized, digital-stop double miter saws to cut custom frame components.
  • Review work orders and utilize tape measures to ensure precision of cut lengths and angles.
  • Use pneumatic nailing machines to assemble frame corners and ensure clean, gap-free joints.

• Physical Demands: Requires standing for 10-hour shifts and the ability to frequently lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs in a woodshop environment.

Shift- Sunday through Thursday Hours: 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM
Payrate- $18.00 hourly
