Job Function Medical Affairs Group Job Sub Function Medical Affairs Job Category People Leader Job Location Raritan, New Jersey, United States of America Job Description Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is recruiting for a Global Medical Affairs Leader, Prostate. This office‑based position in Raritan, New Jersey will lead the optimization of strategy and launch readiness for a prostate cancer asset built on next‑generation T cell engagers and an immuno‑oncology platform. The role will work with regional medical affairs leaders to address data gaps, build confidence, and maximize safe use and benefit for patients. Key responsibilities include providing input on the phase‑3 clinical development program, unmet needs, and expected clinical impact; partnering with GMA Operations, Marketing and Market Access, regional medical product leaders, and the Clinical Development Leader to develop integrated global medical affairs strategies and plans; and coordinating global medical affairs strategic planning, evidence generation, publication, opinion‑leader relations, medical education, and insight gathering. The Lead will also support the Global Commercial Team, Evidence & Medical Access Team, and Compound Development Team, ensuring compliance with J&J’s health‑care compliance principles. Qualifications MD, PhD or PharmD with oncology experience, preferably prostate cancer. Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in a medical/clinical environment or pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a head‑office or regional leadership role. Experience in a global role and/or prostate cancer is an asset. In‑depth knowledge of drug development, study methodology, data review and analysis, and regulatory environment. Knowledge of study execution, benefit‑risk management, and lifecycle management. Understanding of the global healthcare ecosystem, evolving policy and treatment landscape. Ability to lead and contribute to highly matrixed, cross‑functional teams of senior managers and executives. Experience building business cases and working with R&D teams is an asset. Global mindset and ability to partner cross‑culturally/regionally. Highly innovative and capable of managing complex, changing environments and resolving issues within the therapeutic area. Strong experience developing and managing strategic relationships with external medical experts and opinion leaders. Minimum 20‑30% travel expected. Skills Excellent communication skills, including executive communication. Business acumen with an enterprise mindset and ability to work toward common goals. Strategic partner with prioritization skills. Collaborative mindset with strong experience across functional teams, countries, regions, and cultures. Ability to translate insights into actions. Financial stewardship. Multi‑year, multi‑national complex project management and the ability to measure impact. Ability to interpret, distill, and present complex clinical data to shape and align to a compelling strategic viewpoint. Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible for an annual performance bonus and may participate in company‑sponsored medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees can also participate in the company’s consolidated retirement and savings plans, and a long‑term incentive program. Time Off Benefits Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year. Sick time – up to 40 hours per calendar year (up to 56 hours for employees in Washington State).
