Position: Teachers (Certified and Non-Certified) Location: Columbus, OH Job Id: 356 # of Openings: 1 Teachers (Certified and Non-Certified) Location: Bridgeway Academy in Columbus, OH Bridgeway is seeking Certified and Non-Certified Teachers, to provide instruction, care, supervision and appropriate educational/developmental programming and/or instruction for students between the ages of 3 and 21. Bridgeway is seeking individuals that are passionate about caring for children on the Autism Spectrum and providing the highest quality of services to students with special needs. Certified and Non-Certified Teachers will work closely under the supervision of a certified BACB professional implementing the principles of ABA along with teaching alongside other professionals in the classroom. They will develop, plan and implement curriculum, lesson plans and educational programs for students within their classrooms. They will present and reinforce learning concepts within a specified subject or subject area providing modifications when necessary. They will provide ABA interventions that encourage socially acceptable replacement behaviors so that students can build and improve upon their communication, social interaction, academic and problem solving skills. They will be responsible for maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment in order to optimize student capabilities and exemplify our organizational core values. Certified and Non-Certified Teachers will attend weekly team meetings, IEP meetings and/or student conferences when deemed necessary. They will adhere to the Behavior Support Plans that are provided for them and implement them appropriately. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative/team classroom setting and will have strong interpersonal, organization and computer skills. They will have effective communication and appropriate verbal, non-verbal, written and listening skills. Candidates will have experience in and have an understanding of the field of autism, education and ABA. Candidates must be familiar with HIPPA and have the ability to maintain confidential information regarding students. This position requires successful completion of a BCI and FBI background screening.
