Responsibilities

Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination.Provide quality care and conduct diagnostic testing in accordance with evidence-based clinical guidelinesParticipate in ongoing quality assurance audits and provide real-time feedback to improve patient carePerform all admission history & physicalsConduct daily hospital rounds, document progress notes, write orders, and assist with implementation of therapeutic fetal surgery plansOrder and interpret laboratory studiesDischarge planning including documentation, writing prescriptions, explaining discharge/post-operative instructions, and patient educationWillingness to acquire limited ultrasound skills such as the assessment of fetal viability, fetal presentation, biophysical profiles and ultrasound guidance for invasive proceduresChart review and data collection for the neonatal follow-up for clinical databaseMulti-disciplinary conference presentation preparationWork collaboratively with a team of physicians, associate providers, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive clinical careEnsure continuous flow of communication with leadership of clinic to enhance quality of healthcare services to patientsProvide patient navigation to provide seamless care coordination between inpatient and outpatient settingsParticipate in the education of medical students, OB/GYN residents, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowsSupport and participate in research initiatives within the CenterOther related functions as assigned

Required Qualifications

Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of TexasMaster's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner through an approved certifying organization (e.g., AANP or ANCC)Current (Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licenseRequires strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to utilize software for data entry, information retrieval as well as outpatient and inpatient electronic medical recordsAptitude to work in a multi-physician practice in a complex environment; ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patientsPreferred Qualifications Previous experience in women's health, OBGYN or family medicine preferred.

Salary Range

$110,000+ depending on qualifications
