Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Libertyville, IL
Pay Rate: $42 $49/hr on W2

Job Summary

Seeking a Controls Engineer to support automation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of high-volume medical device manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, SCADA, and machine controls.
• Support equipment installation, FAT, SAT, validation, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, electrical devices, motion systems, and vision inspection systems.
• Develop and implement controls improvements to improve safety, quality, uptime, and productivity.
• Support machine networks, MES/SCADA interfaces, and equipment software.
• Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
• Provide technical support and training to maintenance and automation teams.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of controls/automation experience in manufacturing.
• Strong Allen-Bradley PLC, HMI/SCADA experience.
• Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk, Ignition.
• PowerFlex VFDs and Kinetix servo drives.
• EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ProfiNet, ProfiBus, Modbus.
• Cognex/Keyence vision systems.
• PID tuning, industrial networking, electrical controls, and machine safety.
• Medical device manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
