Senior Collections Specialist
A leading law firm is seeking a Senior Collections Specialist for its Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Sacramento, Seattle, Austin, Phoenix, or Washington, DC office.
This is a high-visibility role for a seasoned legal collections professional who can independently own assigned accounts receivable portfolios from strategy through resolution. The Senior Collections Specialist serves as a primary collections resource for attorneys and Finance leadership — leading client outreach, managing escalations (including referrals to outside agencies in coordination with the CFO and General Counsel), and presenting AR aging analysis to firm management. The role works cross-functionally with Billing, Cash Receipts, Business Analytics and Practice Management, and requires proficiency in Aderant Expert and BillBlast.
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree (business, accounting or finance preferred) and 8+ years of progressive collections, AR, billing, or finance experience in a law firm or professional services environment, along with a proven track record of driving collections conversations directly with attorneys. Strong Excel skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
The hourly range is approximately $58.98–$64.11; annual compensation is expected to fall between $115,000 and $125,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
