Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech

Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)

Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and facility. Ensures quality patient care is delivered. CST licensure (NBSTSA) is required. BLS certification is required. A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is needed. Two years of experience as a Surgical Tech is required; additional experience is preferred. Strong skills in Neuro, Spine, and Total Joint surgery are required. Experience with DaVinci robotic surgical systems is essential. Availability for weekend shifts and on-call duties is expected. May need to float to other campuses based on staffing needs. Candidates must have a knowledge of decontamination and sterilization processes. Experience with a variety of surgical techniques and procedures is preferred. Knowledge of Epic charting system is preferred. Ability to adhere to safety protocols and provide effective patient care is critical. Candidates will be required to provide accurate work history from the past seven years.
