As an Armed Security Professional at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $29.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or families by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree. Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program, or equivalent. Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience. Possess a Corrections Officer License. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
