The Heavy Equipment Operator plays a crucial role in managing and operating heavy machinery on a variety of project-based construction and earth-moving tasks. Working primarily with small teams and focused on local assignments, this role demands skilled operation of equipment while supporting routine maintenance alongside a dedicated maintenance crew.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on project sites
- Perform regular equipment checks and basic maintenance as required
- Collaborate with small team members to complete project tasks
- Follow project specifications and safety guidelines
- Report any equipment issues to the maintenance crew promptly
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating excavators
- Experience with bulldozer operation
