Pay Rate: $22 per hour
Contract Dates: 13wks
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with occasional extended hours and Saturday shifts

Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced, bilingual Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support a busy outpatient healthcare clinic in Houston. What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you will work under the direction of a physician and within the scope of your training to support patient care and daily clinic operations.

• Prepare and room patients for appointments, including obtaining and documenting vital signs.

• Assist providers with patient examinations, clinical procedures, treatments, and dressing changes.

• Perform injections and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, as authorized and within the scope of practice.

• Conduct point-of-care testing (POCT) and other approved diagnostic procedures.

• Maintain accurate patient information and documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

• Assist with patient scheduling, telephone communications, and front-desk responsibilities as needed.

• Support specimen handling, sterilization, and maintenance of clinical supplies and equipment.

• Help ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable healthcare regulations and clinic policies.

• Communicate effectively with Spanish- and English-speaking patients to support a positive patient experience.

• Travel between designated clinic locations when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience in an outpatient or clinical setting.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish - required.

• Experience obtaining vital signs, rooming patients, and assisting with clinical procedures.

• Knowledge of injections, phlebotomy, venipuncture, and point-of-care testing.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records and general medical office procedures.

• Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills.

• Ability to work on-site and travel between designated Houston clinic locations as needed.

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Seasonal Flu Vaccine

• Current TB skin test

• Titers (MMR, Varicella, HepB)

• TDAP (every 10yrs)

Schedule & Flexibility

• Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

• Some shifts may extend until 7:00 PM.

• Saturday clinic hours: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.

• Flexibility to travel to the Northeast, Greater Heights, and Southwest clinic locations is required.
