How you will contribute You will be part of a highly and globally respected team to resolve complex matters involving forensic accounting, economic damages, and financial investigations. You will be an integral part of the team to evaluate the cause and financial impact relating to merger and acquisition issues. You will be working with and helping the largest and most respected global insurance companies and their counsel to understand the impact of insured mergers & acquisitions and other insured transactional claims. The efforts include forensic accounting and consulting, and the determination of financial damages. Working as a partner to our clients by building consultative relationships you will develop an in‑depth understanding of the client, the industry and the individual matters to address key issues, from the big picture to the smallest details. You will develop your analyses, findings, and insights along with the team. Relying on your initiative and flexibility to deliver results in an agile and collaborative team environment, you will build strong relationships with your colleagues, our clients, and legal counsel. Some of the main responsibilities are: Managing, sorting through and analyzing significant volumes of data and other information Assist in developing and evaluating claims, damages and calculations Analyze existing financial models and other analyses to determine business valuations and damages Create new financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed Assist with drafting reports and findings including the preparation of tables, exhibits, and charts Performing reviews of and evaluating expert submissions Assisting with researching technical and industry specific issues Documenting assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information used for analyses Assisting with the drafting of client deliverables using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other applications Developing and suggesting solutions to complex problems by thinking “outside the box” Balancing multiple client projects and other responsibilities Communicating proactively and effectively to all levels of the team Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics CPA designation/eligibility preferred Certifications in CFE or CFF are preferred 3-6 years of experience in Big 4 or national accounting firm, a forensic and disputes consulting practice. Transactional financial due diligence experience a plus Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Excellent written and oral communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy Effective interpersonal skills—good team player with the ability to work under pressure and seek guidance when needed Ability and willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule in order to meet client needs The team works on a hybrid schedule, remote and in office Your journey at A&M We recognize that our people are the driving force behind our success, which is why we prioritize an employee experience that fosters each person's unique professional and personal development. The salary range is $80,000 - $110,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details. Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k) retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy‑two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The amount of vacation and personal days available varies based on tenure and role type.
