Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Bachelor’s degree Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Description: 225-bed specialty care hospital. Heart and Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain and Spine, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine and Weight Management, Women's Health, and Pediatrics. Region’s premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services. Located in the central region of Michigan's upper peninsula. Largest community in the peninsula and home to a major university. Unit has a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1. Utilizes telemetry monitors, Baxter IV pumps, Kangaroo pump, bladder scanner, and Dynamaps. Electronic Health Record system is Cerner. Patient population includes adults and geriatrics aged 18 to 125. Preferred experience on a medical-surgical unit with common diagnoses and treatments. Personality fit is important for a fast-paced and stressful environment. Dressing code includes scrub colors of Galaxy Blue or Navy. Nails should be clean and not excessive in length. Tattoos that may be considered offensive must be covered. Excessive jewelry is not permitted.
