Practice Manager

Job Description The Practice Manager (PM) has accountability for all aspects of the location business operations. As a team leader at a people‑first organization, the PM guides their team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management programs. The PM is responsible for driving top‑line sales, increasing margin, controlling payroll expenses, and boosting profitability to meet the company’s overall business objectives. The PM works directly with staff and OD partners to ensure professional eye exams and medical services are delivered, quality products are selected, vision insurance plans are accepted, and patient service is remarkable. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, patient care, and the Acuity Way. Location: Ladue, Missouri, USA Employment Type: Full‑time Responsibilities Apply leadership, creative thinking, and analytical skills to improve individual practice performance and solve operational issues. Build an effective team that collaborates to achieve results. Address the practice’s strengths and challenges with objectives, strategies, and plans. Establish clear objectives for staff, communicate expectations with clarity, and set high performance standards. Set the standard for remarkable patient services and experiences utilizing the Acuity Way. Identify and select top talent aligned with AEG’s values and capable of long‑term sustainability. Work closely with the District Manager to achieve and exceed financial plans for the practice. Learn quickly and adapt to new problems, developing creative solutions. Maintain a relentless focus on achieving results and develop others by sharing best practices within the AEG platform. Remain a versatile learner who retains an open mind when adapting to change. Marshal resources efficiently; orchestrate multiple activities to accomplish various goals through superior service. Review daily sales, identify gaps, and implement solutions to close those gaps. Reinforce the practice selling strategy and the Acuity Way. Protect the company through loss prevention. Partner with Human Resources to ensure employees are committed to handbook guidelines. Requirements 3–5 years of professional experience in a leadership role. Business degree in hospitality, business, or related management field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Optician certification preferred.
