Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Nights, in the healthcare organizations inpatient and outpatient units. This role involves providing respiratory therapy for adults, pediatrics, and neonates, including procedures such as drawing arterial blood gases (ABGs) and assisting with intubations when necessary. The position requires a dedicated professional committed to delivering quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for treatment volumes of 30-40 patients per day, including all checks and treatments for mental health at 84th. Utilizes BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification, with NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred.
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS certification, RRT verification, and NRP preferred. Must hold a valid license to submit, with at least 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Experience or 'Must Have' Skills: At least 1 year of respiratory therapy experience, including procedures such as ABGs and EKGs.
• Additional Responsibilities: Assist Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist; provide care to adults, pediatrics, and neonates across various settings, including ER, ICU, NICU, nursery, L&D, sleep lab, OR, and PACU.
• Shift Requirements: Flexibility to work evenings and weekends; shifts scheduled between 6:30 PM and 7:00 AM.
• Orientation: 2 days of department-specific orientation.
• Equipment: Ventilators including Drager, A40, LTV, Avea, V-60, Vapotherms.
• Team Environment: Hospitalist or Intensivist available 24/7.
