RN / Registered Nurse - Hospice - on-call

Overview Office Location: Lake City Coverage area: Lake City and Surrounding areas Schedule: PRN - primary hours Saturdays and Sundays 8a-8p as needed Haven Hospice is seeking a passionate, dedicated RN to join our team in Lake City, FL . On-Call RNs — What You Will Do Play a crucial role in end-of-life care, stepping in during off-hours to provide relief, clarity, and compassion Provide 1:1 care to patients and support to families Collaborate with the care team to deliver hands-on hospice care during after-hours Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately Administer medication or adjust care based on hospice protocols or provider orders Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as necessary Offer guidance and support to patients and families in understanding the current condition and next steps If a death occurs during on-call hours, pronounce death, provide family support, contact the funeral home, and notify the hospice team Complete timely documentation and communication Benefits and Perks Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Health Savings & Flexible Spending Accounts (up to $5,000 for childcare) Tuition discounts & reimbursement 401(k) with company match Generous PTO Mileage reimbursement Wellness and discount programs (Noom, SkinIO, childcare, gym memberships, pet insurance, travel and entertainment discounts, and more) Benefits may vary by employment status Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in the state of operation One year nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence Must be a licensed driver with a valid automobile insurance and in good working order About Our Line Of Business At Haven Hospice, our primary ambition is to bring high-quality care to the warmest and most serene environment possible: home.
