Rotating shifts: 7a-7p / 7p-7a

Assignment Details

Requirements

• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Two years of emergency department acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and identify urgent or emergent care priorities.
• Provide direct patient care and apply appropriate interventions.
• Conduct primary and secondary patient assessments, documenting deviations from norms.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to provide updates and alleviate anxiety.
• Encourage teamwork and mutual respect among staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care procedures and discharge instructions.
