Job Description
At St. Joseph Medical Group and Kansas City Physician Care, our dedicated team of professionals is committed to our core values of quality, compassion, and community. Affiliated with St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Joseph Medical Group and Kansas City Physician Care are actively seeking new members to join their award-winning teams!
Qualifying candidates will have 2 years' experience working as a hospitalist as well as experience teaching medical students and residents post training. Candidates must be board-certified in internal medicine. No new graduates considered.
Highlights:
- See patients with medical residents and students in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Position involves rotations for inpatient, outpatient and skilled nursing care
- Participate in teaching lectures and didactics as part of the core curriculum for the IM residency program
- Provide mentorship to medical students and residents
- Participate in program evaluation and resident evaluation
Position Details:
- Inpatient 7on/7off
- 12-hour shifts
- Shared equal call for all providers
- On call on average 1 in 4 weekends for inpatient rounding with house staff
- All candidates must be board certified in internal medicine
- All candidates must have 2 years' experience working inpatient medicine post residency
- Experience training medical students and residents post residency
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. 3-5 years work experience in internal medicine inpatient care
2. Current State Medical License MD or DO
3. Unrestricted Current DEA Registration
4. Current State Board of Pharmacy Controlled Substance Certificate of Registration
5. BLS (AHA or ARC) or ACLS (AHA or ARC) certification required
