Payroll Specialist POST NUMBER: 475324

Position Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is a key role responsible for high-volume, multi-state payroll processing. This position handles all payroll functions, including data entry, processing, reporting, auditing, and serving as the first point of contact for employee payroll inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process full-cycle weekly and bi-weekly multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, pay rate changes, deductions, terminations, and final pay
• Reconcile payroll and validate reports prior to submission for disbursement
• Process special transactions, including off-cycle payments and manual checks, in accordance with company policies
• Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing relevant information
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to a high volume of payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner
• Maintain payroll operations by following established policies and procedures and recommending improvements as needed
• Prepare, analyze, and audit standard and ad hoc payroll reports
• Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee information
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including wage and hour requirements
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation
• Collaborate closely with Human Resources and Benefits teams to ensure accurate payroll processing

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of payroll experience required
• Experience in high-volume environments; restaurant or retail industry preferred
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
