President Company: Confidential | Multi-State Cannabis Laboratory Organization Location: Preferred home base in the northeast near Maryland, Pennsylvania or New Jersey Travel: 60–80% Overview We are conducting a confidential search for a President to lead a growing multi‑state cannabis laboratory organization operating across four states. This executive will be responsible for driving the company's strategic direction, financial performance, operational alignment, and long‑term growth while partnering closely with the Board of Directors and executive leadership team. The organization currently operates four laboratory locations with approximately 80–100 employees and is focused on improving operational efficiency, expanding commercial growth, and positioning the business for continued success. Responsibilities Develop and execute the company's strategic vision to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and operational excellence Provide executive leadership across multiple laboratory locations, ensuring alignment in operations, communication, and business objectives Lead P&L management, budgeting, financial forecasting, and performance planning across the organization Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, standardize processes, and enhance overall business performance Partner with executive leadership and the Board of Directors to develop long‑term business strategies and growth initiatives Drive business development efforts to expand market share and strengthen customer relationships Lead, mentor, and develop executive leadership while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational, financial, and commercial performance Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing laboratory operations Build and maintain relationships with key customers, regulators, industry partners, and other external stakeholders Evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities to position the organization for long‑term success Support acquisitions, expansion initiatives, and other strategic business opportunities as appropriate Requirements 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience with multi‑site operations Proven P&L leadership and experience managing organizational budgets and financial performance Multi‑state cannabis industry leadership experience required; experience within laboratory testing is preferred but not required Executive leadership experience within another highly regulated industry (pharmaceutical, clinical diagnostics, alcohol, tobacco, food testing, or similar) may be considered Demonstrated success leading organizational growth, improving operational efficiency, and scaling businesses Strong strategic planning, financial analysis, and business development experience Proven ability to lead and develop executive teams while driving accountability and organizational performance Exceptional communication, relationship‑building, and stakeholder management skills Analytical, data‑driven decision maker with strong business acumen Ability to travel extensively to support multiple operating locations Must be able to obtain and maintain all required state cannabis licensing Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $180,000 - $210,000 Uncapped annual performance bonus tied to EBITDA performance Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to lead a growing, multi‑state organization during an exciting phase of expansion and long‑term value creation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
