Location Hytrol - Westland, Michigan Category Manufacturing OD/ID Grinder Hytrol Manufacturing, a division of Advance Turning & Manufacturing, Inc., is a precision manufacturer serving the medical, aerospace, and other high-performance industries. We’re looking for an experienced OD/ID Grinder to join our team at our Westland, Michigan facility. Do you take pride in precision? You’ll have the opportunity to grind complex, high-precision components using a variety of materials—including stainless steels and high-nickel alloys—while working on parts used in demanding applications. What You’ll Do Set up and operate OD/ID grinding equipment to produce precision components. Grind a variety of materials, including stainless steels and high-nickel alloys. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T. Select appropriate grinding wheels, tooling, and workholding methods. Make machine adjustments and offsets to maintain tight dimensional requirements. Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment. Troubleshoot grinding and process issues to maintain quality and productivity. Maintain consistent surface finishes and dimensional accuracy. Work independently while collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of OD/ID grinding experience in a precision manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of grinding processes, setups, and tooling. Ability to consistently hold tight tolerances. Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and GD&T. Proficiency with precision inspection and measurement equipment. Experience working with stainless steels, high-nickel alloys, or other difficult-to-machine materials is a plus. CNC grinding experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
